LAW 1
* NEVER OUTSHINE YOUR SUPERIOR *
JUDGEMENT:
Always make those above you comfortably superior. In your desire to please and impress them, do not go too far in displaying your talents. Or, you might accomplish the opposite.
Inspire fear and insecurity...make your superior appear more brilliant than they are and you will have obtained the heights of power.
THE LESSON:
If you cannot help being charming and superior, you must learn to avoid such monsters of vanity. Either that or find a way to mute your good qualities when in company of your superior.
Also, never imagine that just because your superior loves you, you can do anything you want.
There are dangers in outshining your superiors and learning them can turn this law to your advantage.
You must flatter and puff up your superior (although this can be effictive, it has it's limit). Try not to be too direct and obvious so it does'nt look bad to others. Discreet flattery is much more powerful. For example, if you are more intelligent than your superior, seem the opposite. make him appear more intelligent than you, act naive, make it seem that you need his expertise. Commit harmless mistakes that will not hurt you in the long run but gives you the opportunity to ask for his help. Superiors adores such request!
A superior who cannot bestow on you the gift of his experience, may resent you instead.
Keep in mind, while facilitating this law, it is not a weakness to disguise your strenght. In the end, they lead to power. By letting others outshine you, you remain in control instead of being a victim of their insecurity. This will all come in handy the day you decide to grow above your inferior status. If you can make your superior shine even more in the eyes of others, you are a god send and you will be instantly promoted.
Stay tuned...Law 2 will be posted tomorrow..and that will be a really good one!!!
